"Oh my god, you're Sydney Wade."

I turn to find a very charming blue eyes looking into mine.  "Yes I am."

"I don't believe you're here.  Did Billy or Xandy put you up to this?"

"Up to what exactly?"

"Coming to New Zealand."

"I can safely say that they didn't since they didn't even know I was coming, and further more I have no idea who you are."

"Oh my apologies, Dominic Monaghan, but everyone just calls me Dom."

"Oh you're another one of the hobbits.  You don't seem that short."

"That's cause I'm the tallest of the hobbits thank you every much."  I giggle.  "What are you doing here?"

"I'm on a mission to find my wayward cousin."

"Ah, she said some one might come to get her eventually.  But she said it would most probably be her brother or older cousin."

"Well they were all a little too busy so I got nominated."  

The desk clerk comes back then and gives me my room key.  "A porter will be with you in one moment miss."

"Oh that's alright I can manage."  I reach over to get my other bag and Dom already has it in his hand.

"Allow me."

"Thanks."  We head over to the lift.

"So how long are you in for?"

"Just a few days, I have obligations back in the states."

"That doesn't really give us time to play hard to get.  So what do you say will you have dinner with me tonight."

We are in the lift by now so I get a chance to give him a crazy look.  "I don't even know you."

"Well then we'll have something to talk about won't we."

"I don't know I mean you seem harmless and everything..."

"I am completely harmless, and promise to be on my best behavior.  I'm just a fan and would really like to get to know you."

"I must be suffering from some serious jet lag but, okay."

We are at my room.  "Excellent.  I'll see you tonight around 7, is that okay?"

"Um, I guess."  What am I doing I think to myself.

"Great see you then."  He leaves, makes it around the corner and then comes back and sits my bag next to my door.  "Sorry."

I can't help but smile, "that's okay.  I'll see you later."

"Bye."  He leaves again.  As he exits the lift, he flips open his cell and dials Billy.

Billy – “Hey Dom.”

Dom – “Hey I’m going to have cancel tonight.”

Billy – “Okay what’s up?”

Dom – “Got a date.”

Billy – “A date?  You’re dumping me a fellow hobbit for a girl.”

Dom – “She’s not any girl.”

Billy – “Do I know her?”

Dom thinks for a minute, I didn’t tell him not to tell anyone I was in town but he didn’t want to take a chance.  “Yeah I think you might have met her a couple of times, but listen I’ve got to go my cell’s dying.”

Billy – “Alright see you in the morning.”

Meanwhile upstairs I call Uncle Viggo and get his machine.

“Sorry not in right now, I will be out of the town until next week and then it will be back to filming so good luck getting in touch with me.”  Well that was a dead end so I just decided to call Xandy and let her know I was here.

Xandy – “Hello?”

Me – “Hey.”

Xandy – “Hey, wow this is a real great connection you sound so close.”

Me – “I should, I’m here.”

Xandy – “Here, as in Wellington.”

Me – “Yeap, I’m staying at Kings Gate.”

Xandy – “Why are you here?”

Me – “Why do you think I’m here?”

Xandy – “You’ve come to make me go home.  Well I’m not going.”

Me – “Let’s not start the attack alright.  I’m not going to make you go but with your mom and dad off on vaca and you being here by yourself... Mooney started getting a little worried and she called your brother and he called me…”

Xandy – “So you came to check on me?  Why doesn’t anyone believe me when I say that I AM FINE.”

Me – “I do believe you but it was either me or Deacon and I’m definitely more patient then he is.”

Xandy – “Well you do have a point there.”

Me – “Besides I haven’t seen you in like 2 months, I thought you’d be happy to see me.”

Xandy – “Well I am glad you’re here.  What are your plans for tonight I want to introduce you to everyone."

Me - "Well actually I've already met one of them and he asked me to dinner tonight." 

Xandy - "That's fast must have been Dominic.  Listen I’m getting ready to go out running around, I’ll stop over okay.”

Me – “Okay I’ll meet you in the lobby.”
