After the show.
Mandy - "Oh my God you guys were great!"
Kevin - "Thank you."
Brian - "I'm glad you girls enjoyed it."
Alec - "I liked it too."
Howie - "Come on we've got to get to the bus and back to the hotel."
Brian - "Can you bring the girls to our hotel Alec?"
Alec - "Oh yeah sure. After all the whole reason I came is to haul my little sister and her friend around."
Ally - "And love every minute of it."
AJ - "Why don't you all just ride on the bus with us?"
The girls look at each other. "Okay."
Alec - "Why don't you guys take the bus and I'll ride over in the car."
Ally - "No come with us."
Alec - "I've got to let our driver know any way so I'll just ride with him."
Ally - "Are you sure I mean we could ride with you."
Alec - "No just go I'll see you at the hotel."
Brian - "Come on." He ushers the girls out of the room and down the hall before anyone can think twice about it.
By the time they got to the bus everyone else was already on.
Driver - "Is that everyone?"
Nick - "Yeap let's move it." The bus starts moving out. "And here's the crowd."
The girls look out the windows at all the screaming girls. The guys wave out open windows until they get out of sight.
Mandy - "Is it always like that?"
AJ - "Pretty much."
Nick - "It seems like every city we have more and more fans."
Mandy - "Well that's a good thing right."
Brian - "Well yeah. Can you imagine one day we might even sell out an arena."
Howie - "It's going to happen." Everyone settles into whatever they do after the show, change and what not. Ally and Mandy just sit on the couch whispering to each other.
Mandy - "I can't believe that we are sitting on the Backstreet Boys' bus."
Ally - "I know. Brian never talked to me this much when we were kids."
Mandy - "Well maybe he realizes that you're not a kid anymore." She raises an eyebrow at her.
Ally - "What are you getting at?"
Mandy - "He was awful quick to ditch your brother."
Ally - "We didn't ditch Alec he's meeting us at the hotel."
Mandy - "Yeah but I don't know I just get this feeling that he is not looking at you like his friend's little sister anymore."
Ally - "You're nuts."
Mandy - "We'll see."
Brian - "And what are you two over here conspiring about." Brian comes from the back of the bus wearing jeans, sneakers and a UK tee-shirt
Ally - "Nothing."
Brian - "Some how I doubt that." He sits between the two of them and puts an arm behind them. "So ladies what are we going to do tonight?"
Ally - "Oh I don't care."
Brian - "Well you're 21 right."
Ally - "Yeah but Mandy's not."
Brian - "That's alright we can probably get her in somewhere I'm sure. Especially dressed like that. Aren't you cold?"
Mandy - "No not really." AJ comes out from the back dressed in tan cargos, his ever present wife beater and a blue button shirt only half way buttoned.
AJ - "She understands that sometimes comfort must be sacrificed for fashion."
Mandy - "Not really I'm comfortable in this." Nick comes in holding a phone.
Nick - "Hey Brian its Alec."
Brian - "Hey man what's up? Are you serious? No that's okay. I'll make sure they get home. You want to talk to her. Okay here ya go. It's Alec."
Ally - "Hello."
Alec - "Hey sis. It doesn't look like I'm going to make it to the hotel after all."
Ally - "Why?"
Alec - "Well the limo broke down and with the concert traffic a tow truck won't get here for like two hours."
Ally - "Can't they just send another car?"
Alec - "Well they could but it won't get here any quicker. Just go ahead with Brian, you'd have more fun with him with out your older brother hanging around. He'll make sure you get back to your dorm."
Ally - "Okay." She is a little sad, she did really want to spend time with her brother.
Alec - "Oh cheer up. I'll send you a ticket to come see me for spring break."
Ally - "really! Can I," He interrupts.
Alec - "Bring Amanda." He finishes her sentence. "I wouldn't expect you not to. I'll call you in a couple days to see how your night went."
Ally - "Okay."
Alec - "You behave."
Ally - "I will. I love you."
Alec - "Love you too sis." They hang up and she hands the phone back to Brian.
Brian - "Don't worry he'll be okay."
Ally - "I know. It's just that it is cold outside."
Brian - "He's a big boy he can stay warm. Come on cheer up. We've got a birthday to celebrate."
AJ - "Yeah. So since it's just going to be the four of us where you want to go."
The girls look at each other. "Dancing!"
Brian - "Alright. AJ you know anywhere around here."
AJ - "Yeap, there's a club at the hotel. I'll go tell the driver. You go change out of that shirt."
Brian - "What is everyone's problem with Kentucky tonight?" He goes back to change.
Mandy - "Okay that was a big coincidence."
Ally - "What?"
Mandy - "How Brian got rid of your brother?"
Ally - "Oh yeah I'm so sure he made the car break down."
Mandy - "And it's just the four of us going out."
Ally - "Oh like you mind have AJ as your date."
Mandy - "He's not my date."
Ally - "Okay if you're insisting that Brian likes me then AJ going means that his job is to keep you occupied and happy. Not like that's going to be a tough thing to do."
Mandy - "Oh my God you're right. I'll have AJ to myself all night. Please pinch me."
Ally - "And you were talking about me being hooked." AJ comes back and sits next to Mandy.
AJ - "So you think you'll be able to keep up with me."
Mandy - "Yeah you might not be able to keep up with me."
AJ - "Oh we'll see about that." Brian comes back out with a Tommy tee-shirt on.
Brian - "Is this better?"
AJ - "Yeah it's not that fancy of a club."
Brian - "Good." He sits next to Ally again. "So what are we talking about?"
Ally - "Well I guess Mandy and AJ are going to spend the night try to wear each other out."
Brian - "Oh really. That's fast even for you Bone."
Ally - "I didn't mean it like it sounded."
AJ - "Yeah but your way sounds more fun." Both girls are blushing. "Aren't they cute turning all pink. Don't worry I'll take it easy on you."
Mandy - "Thanks. I think."
Brian - "What about you?" He turns to Ally. "Am I going to have any trouble from you tonight?"
Ally's not exactly sure what he means by that. "I don't think so."
Brian - "You girls hungry? I might be able to find something in the kitchen. That is if Nick hasn't hit it yet."
Mandy - "Well we should probably eat something if we're going to go drinking."
Ally - "Yeah I don't want a repeat of last time."
Brian - "what happened last time?"
Ally - "I'm not telling you. You might tell Alec."
Brian - "Oh come on I swear I won't tell."
Ally - "No."
Brian - "Alright but I'll get it out of you eventually. I know your weaknesses." Ally just laughs. "Come on let's go find some grub."
The four of them raid the kitchen. There really isn't anything except hot pockets and microwave hot wings. Chapter 4 |
