Don Gambino - " then our business here is settled."

Slowly one by one all the heads of the families acknowledge the peace they've made this day.

Don Gambino - "Ah, it is my great honor to invite you all to stay, and be my personal guests at the wedding of my daughter Constanza to Roberto Cerrola, which shall take place tomorrow afternoon at my Villa "

All the gentlemen make their way to their various cars.  Kevin approaches Don Gambino.  "Don Gambino may I have a word with you?"  Gambino nods and he dismisses whomever he was talking to.

Gambino - "Don Bianchetti, it seems like only yesterday your father sat in my home telling me tales of his newborn son, now here you are, all grown up, married yourself, how is your family."

Kevin smiled, "they are good."

Gambino - "That is what is most important, a man who does not take care of his family is no man.  Don Mazzagotti has informed me that you are to be a father soon."

Kevin nods.  "That is what I came to speak to you about, unfortunately I will be unable to attend your daughter's wedding.  I have been away far longer than I anticipated, but I wish them a happy union and would like to present this small gift for her bridal purse."

Gambino nods and warmly receives the gift envelope.  "I appreciate your well wishes and your gift, I believe your father would be very proud of the way you've conducted yourself , and I wish you and your wife much happiness and may your child be healthy and happy"

Kevin - "Grazi Don Gambino, you are too kind."

They hug and Kevin walks away to find Giovanni.  He was talking with Don Luciano, of New Orleans.  He sees Kevin and waves him over.  "Vito, you have met Don Luciano, no?"

Kevin nods.  "On several occasions, but as always it is a pleasure."

The two shake hands.  "I was so saddened to hear about your father's passing, if there is anything I can do please call."

Kevin - "Thank you, I will share your kind words with my mother.  I don't mean to interrupt but I was hoping to speak with Don Mazzagotti privately for a moment."

Luciano - "Of course, Giovanni we'll meet for dinner."

Giovanni - "si."  Luciano walks away.  "You did very well, Vito, your father would be proud."

Kevin - "Thank you.  I just wanted to say good-bye before I left, I need to get back home.   I thought this thing would be over a week ago."

Giovanni - "Have you spoken to Suzanna?"

Kevin - "This morning.  She had a doctor's appointment yesterday and he seems to think she needs complete bed rest, which I know she will not do if I am not there to make her."

Giovanni nods, "Suzanna was never one to sit still.  Go home, take good care of her.  I  will be back in about a week."

Kevin nods, he knows Giovanni is in negotiations with Luciano about some wine company located in California.  The two men embrace and then Kevin leaves followed by Gino and Howie.  Everyone has a guard and an attorney with them at these things.  They get in the car and drive back to his family's Villa.  Along the way he pulls out the pocket watch he now wears, it was his fathers.  He keeps it set at Vegas time, so he can tell in a glance what time it is where Suzanna is.  He pulls out his cell phone and dials a number.

Suz - "Hola"

Kevin - "Hola, Mi Amore"

She smiles, "Vito, where are you?"

Kevin - "On my way home to you."

She squeals, "Thank god.  You've been gone so long."

Kevin - "Are you resting?"

Suz - "I am not in bed, if that is what you mean, but I am relaxing.  Abby and I are shopping for baby things."

He smiles. "I thought we were going to do that when I got back."

Suz - "Oh we are, you would not even believe all the things you need for a baby, there will be plenty for you to help me pick out.  Is Papa with you?"

Kevin - "No, he's coming back in a week."

Suz - "Dona is loosing her mind with out him.  Jon Carlo has that house completely upside down."

Kevin - "I told you not to worry about it"

Suz - "I know, and I try but I can't help it.  Anyway, I can't wait to see you."

Kevin - "Me neither, so, have fun shopping, relax and I'll be home soon."

Suz - "I love you"

Kevin - "Love you too, Ciao."

Suz - "Ciao, mi amore."

His car pulls up to the Villa.

Howie - "Will we be leaving promptly?"

Kevin - "In a few hours, I have to take care of some, business first."

Howie nods and Kevin goes inside.  He goes up the stairs and into his room.  He loosens his tie and sits down.  Across the room a woman pours a drink and walks towards him.

She hands him the glass and he reaches out and grasps her hand as she turns to walk away.  She turns around fast and causes the simple, silk robe she was wearing to loosen and slip down her sholders a bit.  He pulls her onto his lap, she is so close to him, he can smell her shampoo.  He can feel her breath on his face. 

She looks at him, "do you know last night you called me Anna."

He looks at her.  "Did I?"

She looks deeply into his eyes and then away quickly.  "You know you are breaking my heart."

He takes a drink.  "I think that is a little dramatic don't you."

She goes to get up, but he holds her there near him.  "Please let me go, I shouldn't have come here.  Why did you ask me to come, your mind is obviously elsewhere.  As is your heart."

He scoffs and lets her go.  She stands up and walks across the room, then turns and looks at him.  "I hope your stay was enjoyable.  I wonder though, was I an adequate replacement for your wife."

Kevin looks up at her over the rim of his glass.  His eyes are cold and harsh.  "Don't EVER put your self in the same sentence, the same thought, the same breath as my wife."

She looks at him.  "How dare you repreimand me.  Take a good hard look in the mirror Vito.  I am not the one who chased after you, you remember that when youre back in America.  You remember that when you look into your precious Anna's eyes.  I'd love to know who'll be in your thoughts when you are making love to her."

Kevin throws the glass across the room and it shatters against the wall.  Glass shards fly and some must have cut her.  She cries out.  He is off the chair and across the room in seconds.  He tenderly touches her arm, she buries her face in his shoulder and cries.

Kevin - "I am so sorry, please forgive me Rosa."

She mumbles something as he scoops her up and carries her to the bed.  Much later when she wakes up to find him gone, as she knew she would.  She glances at the bedside table and sees a single rose.  She rolls over and cries.

 
Kevin's flight took an extra long time due to some bad weather they encountered.  But he finally landed safe and sound at about 4 am.  He got home and the house was quiet.  Kevin made his way to our side of the house.  When they got married and moved in, Vito Sr. gave the entire left wing of the house. Brian, Nick, Josephine and Alegra all had rooms on the right side.  Even though Brian and Nick didn't really live there any more.

He walked down the hall and he stopped to look in on the nursery.  It is coming along nicely.  The room has been painted it has large white and pale yellow stripes, below the chair rail, which is actually Winnie the Pooh and friends boarder, and above the chair rail is pale yellow, and there are numerous lithographs depicting scenes from the pooh books and cartoons.  The furniture is all wooden and the accessories go along with the Pooh Bear theme.  There are shelves holding various Pooh memorabilia and there are numerous stuffed pooh bears and his friends.  Stacked off to one side are the various gift boxes from Suzannas shower still holding the clothing not yet washed and put away. 

Kevin walks around touching everything.  He picks up a few of the tiny outfits, amazed at how little they are and smiles to himself.  And then returns everything to it's place and shuts off the light and walks across the hall to their room.  Suzanna is sound asleep and he is greeted by their cat Irene.  Kevin bends down and scratches her behind the ears, she purrs and rubs herself against his leg.  The cat follows him into the bathroom where he changes out of his clothes and gets ready for bed.  He was almost successful in not waking Suzanna up but she had moved their free standing towel rack and he ran into it and it fell to the floor with a crash.  She sat up in bed, he stuck his head out of the bathroom door to see if she had been disturbed.

Kevin - "I'm sorry sweetie, I was trying to be quiet."

Suz - "I was hoping you'd wake me up, I tried to stay up but I couldn't.  She getst out of bed.  "Can I get you something, are you hungry or anything?"

Kevin turns off the bathroom light and comes back in the room.  "I'm fine baby, thank you for checking."

He kisses her lips and then her belly.  She groans and pats it.  "I am so big I am pretty sure I require my own zip code."

Kevin - "Shhh.  You look fabulous."  He kisses her and runs his hands over her belly.  The baby kicks and he feels it and smiles.  "How are you feeling?"

Suz - "My back is killing me, I think I walked too much today, Abby and I were everywhere in our search for this really cool thing I read about.  It goes in the crib and simulates the motion of the womb.  It is supposed to be really good for the baby.  It helps them adjust to their surroundings, well anyway.  Do you know we couldn't find it anywhere in this city."

He smiles, "can you buy it online?"

Suz - "There's a back order.  I was hoping to find a shop that might have one in inventory."

Kevin - "Fine, we'll fly to LA and find one."

She smiles, "Really?"

He nods, "if you really want one, I will find you one."  She gives him a big hug and kiss.  "I've missed you more than I realized I could miss someone."

Suz - "I've missed you more."

Kevin - "Really?  How much?"

Suz - "Let me show you."  She takes his hand and leads him to bed.  She woke up later still all wrapped up in his embrace.  Smiling she snuggled closer and closed her eyes.  In his sleep he pulled her closer and placed a protective hand on the baby.

Suzanna woke up again that morning but to someone knocking on their bedroom door.  She yawned and stretched.  Kevin sat up and saw her getting out of bed.

Kevin - "Lay back down. I'll see who it is."

She nods and crawl back under the covers.  He throws on his boxers and his robe and walks across the room to the door.  He opens it to find Brian standing there.

Brian - "Oh, I'm sorry.  I didn't know you had gotten back, I was just checking to make sure Suzanna was alright, she normally has breakfast by now."

Kevin smiles, "she's fine, thanks for looking out for her."

Brian - "No problem."

Brian quickly walks away.  Kevin shuts the door and comes back to bed.  He pulls Suzanna close to him.  How did you sleep?"

Kevin - "Good."

Suz - "Can we stay in bed all day?"

Kevin - "I planned on it."

She laughs, "you know we can't.  Your mama will want to see you and Nick and Brian and..."

Kevin - "Today I am spending time with my wife."

Suz - "I like that plan."

Downstairs Brian walks in the dining room.

Josephine - "Is she not feeling well?"

Brian - "No she's going just fine, Vito is home."

Josephine - "Oh, thank god he is home safe.  I am going to have Mario take me to the hair salon."

Brian That sounds nice Aunt Josie.  She gets up and leaves to go make the appointment.  Brian pushes his plate away.  With Kevin Home that means Giovanni will be returning soon.  Which means Abby will be marrying Joey soon.  He still wasn't any closer to finding anything on Fatone.  There was some suspicious money transfers but nothing good enough to take to the Mazzagottis.

But with Kevin home he could once again consintrate fully on the task at hand.  He left the house more determined then ever to have Abigail as his.

Kevin and Suzanna succeeded in staying in bed a good portion of the day.  But then she talked him into going shopping for the baby.

They returned home in the early evening before dinner.

Kevin - "That was fun."

Suz - "You are too cute when you shop.  This baby will be spoiled before it's born."

Kev just smiles, "are you hungry?"

Suz - "Yes but dinner will be ready soon.  I'm sure your mother had the cook prepare something yummy for your first night home."

Nick comes walking into the foyer as they enter.  "Kevin, am glad you're home.  I'd like to speak to you if you have a minute."

Suzanna - "Go ahead I'm going to take a bath before dinner."  She heads up the stairs winking at Kevin before she leaves.

He is so absorbed in watching his wife he doesn't even hear Nick.

Nick - "Vito are listening to me?"

Kevin - "No.  Nick, I'm sorry will talk later.  Here do something with this stuff will you?  And send some one to pick up the rest."

He hands him some bags and rushes up the stairs. Nick looks after him and then at the bags.  He can't believe how Kevin dismissed him like a simple servant.  He shakes off his momentary bad thoughts and sends Roberto and Tomas to get their other purchases.
