There's something about those boybands.
Chapter Fifty-Two

Summer had actually gotten up before her dad left for work about two days after Nick left for home. Since she was up she thought it would be nice if she made him breakfast. She had just put his eggs on a plate when the door bell rang.

Summer - "I'll get it dads! Oh your breakfast is on the table!" She walks to the door in her little short pj's.

When she opened the door and there stood AJ. "OH MY GOD!!!!" She practically attacks him with a hug. He holds
her tight. "What are you doing here?"

AJ - "I told you I'd come visit." He puts her down.

Summer - "Well yeah but I didn't think you'd come this soon." Hugh calls from the kitchen

Hugh - "Who is it Summer?"

Summer - "Come on he'll flip." She takes his hand and leads him to the kitchen. "Dads we have a visitor." He looks up.

Hugh - "Alexander is that you?"

AJ - "Nice to see you again Mr. Grant." Hugh stands up and comes over and hugs AJ.

Hugh - "It's good to see you again. Well sit down. Do you want some juice or coffee?"

AJ - "Coffee would be great."

Summer - "I'll get it." She leaves the room.

Hugh - "So I hear you've been busy since we saw you last."

AJ - "Yeah. The group's doing very well."

Hugh - "Yes I know. I think that Summer might be personal responsible for some of it. She's been making us crazy about it since you first came out overseas."

AJ - "Yeah I can imagine." She comes back with AJ's coffee.

Summer - "So what do you have planned while you're in town?"

AJ - "Not much I just came to see you."

Summer - "Really? When did you get in?"

AJ - "Like an hour ago. I rented a car and came here. I haven't even gone to get a room yet."

Hugh - "Well there's no need for that you can stay here?"

AJ - "No Mr. Grant that's okay I don't want to impose."

Hugh - "Don't be silly. Knowing the two of you you'll be here until all hours of the night anyway."

AJ - "Yeah. So Lily you've got time to hang with me or are you busy?"

Summer - "Not busy at all. The only thing I've got to do is go over and feed Ginger's fish."

AJ - "Cool."

Hugh - "Well I've got to get to work they've almost got the new marine exhibit done and I've got to sign off on it."

Summer - "Okay have a nice day daddy." He kisses her forehead.

Hugh - "I will. Help AJ get settled in the guest room. Think you two can be home for dinner tonight?"

AJ - "If you're making your spaghetti I'll make it a point to be."

Hugh - "It's a deal see you kids tonight." He leaves through the garage.

AJ - "He hasn't changed much."

Summer - "no same old dads. So what do you want to do?"

AJ - "I don't care. You've got to go to Ginger's I guess we can go there first."

Summer - "Yeah her boyfriend Danny surprised her with a little vacation down to the Bahamas."

AJ - "Well when are they getting back?"

Summer - "Not till the weekend. When are you leaving?"

AJ - "Thursday. I've got to go back to Orlando we've got to start auditions for dancers"

Summer - "Oh you're going to miss her."

AJ - "Well maybe next time."

Summer - "Yeah." She noticed he seems a little sad that he won't see Ginger. "Wait until you see her shop it's so her." He still doesn't cheer up. "Well come on gloomy Gus let's get your stuff upstairs."

AJ - "I'm not gloomy." He follows out in to the living room.

Summer - "Whatever." He gets his bag while she makes the bed in his room.

AJ - "This is weird. Are you aware that the rooms are set up exactly like they were in Orlando?"

Summer - "I know. Josh gets in tomorrow so he'll be right next door to you."

AJ - "Josh is coming. Cool I can't wait to see him." He digs n his bag. "I've got something for you?"

Summer - "What?"

AJ - "Here it's from Nick." He hands her a letter. Summer snatches it and goes sits over by the window.

Summer,
I just got off the phone with you and I feel like calling you again just to hear your voice. I've got the picture you gave next to my bed stuffed in to the corner of the picture of me with Shaq. It's the last thing I see before I go to sleep and the first thing I see in the morning when I wake up.

I know we're suppose to be going slow but I'm going crazy not seeing you. I miss you. I've never been like this with anyone before and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with all of these feelings I have. I really hope that I'm not saying too much too soon but I can't help it. I feel like that when I met you, I found me. Does that make any sense? Probably not but that's been me recently.

Now I know I've said too much because I'm freaking out right now so I guess I'll let you go. I'm not even sure if I'll send this to you or not but I just felt like I needed to get this out. I hope to see you again soon.

Love, Nick

She folds the letter back up and holds it to her heart.

AJ - "You okay?"

Summer - "Yeah."

AJ - "Good because I didn't know what he said in there and I didn't want to have to go back to Orlando and kick some one's ass."

Summer - "No. No need to kick anyone's ass. He just misses me that's all."

AJ - "And you miss him."

Summer - "Yeah." She thinks about Nick for a minute. "Come on let's go."

AJ - "Go where?"

Summer - "Ginger's then who knows? You up for some shopping?"

AJ - "I'm always up for shopping."

Summer - "Cool let's go."

AJ - "Shouldn't you get dressed first?"

Summer - "Oh yeah probably. Excuse me."

Summer goes and changes into some shorts and a tee-shirt and then they head out to Ginger's house to feed her fish.
