Lance was late. Really late. He came in and start taking off his clothes.

Jess - "Where have you been?"

Lance - "Lauren Hill did her set three times. We had to wait for her to get done. Start the shower for me okay."

Jess - "okay."  She turns on the water.  "Is there anything else I can do?"

Lance - "Nah. Thanks." He kisses her quick. "We're running so late. Oh when if Barb gets here while I'm in the shower have her just wait. 'Kay."

Jess - "okay."

He gets a shower and then Barb comes to do his hair. She leaves and they get dressed.   Jess is in the bathroom putting on some make up. JC knocks on the door, she answers it.

JC - "Wow, you look great."

Jess - "Thanks."

JC - "Where did you get that dress?"

Jess - "Loren made it. I'll tell her you like it."

JC - "You sure you don't want to be my date and not Lance's."

Lance - "She's sure." He comes up behind her and takes her arm.  "I take it everyone's ready to go."

JC - "Yeah come on."  Jess grabs her little bag and they leave.

Once they arrive the dates are sent on way and the boys go to do some interviews.  Jess gets along with JC's girlfriend Cindy pretty good.  So they chat about stuff while waiting for them to get to their seats.  She spots Loren going to her seat with AJ's friend Sarah.  They wave at each other.  The show starts and Chris Rock comes out to do his monologue.  The show is great.  Jess had to bite her tongue not to laugh at Nick when they are performing.  In that black outfit he really does look like a wrestler.  Finally the show is over and its off to the after party.  Jess was having a great time.  People from work were there and she was making connections for when she starts directing.

Lance and her were in a corner talking when Brian walked up.

Brian - "hey whats up?" They shake hands

Lance - "Not much man, congratulations on the award."

Brian - "Thanks. You guys were really good tonight."

Lance - "You too."

Brian - "Can I steal a dance with your girl?"

Lance - "If she wants I don't mind."  Brian offers his hand to Jess.

Jess - "Okay. I'll be right back."  Lance waves and she walks away with Brian. For some reason this whole thing seems a little surreal to her.  Like she's walking in a dream and everything is moving really slow.  Brian turns and puts her hand on his shoulder and they dance.

Brian - "Are you okay?"

Jess - "I'm fine."

Brian - "You haven't said anything in the last five minutes.  Its a little out of ordinary for you."

Jess - "Well what do you want me to say?"

Brian - "I thought you weren't mad at me anymore."

Jess - "I'm not."

Brian - "Then what's going on, come on Jess, we've always tried to be honest with each other."

Jess - "I get confused when I'm around you."

Brian - "That seems fair, every time I look at you my head spins."  He smiles. "What are we going to do?"

Jess - "I don't know."

Brian - "I'm tired of fighting myself."

Jess - "Me too."

Brian - "Wanna get out of here?"

Jess - "I can't. I came with Lance. I care about him I'm not going to just dump him and run out of here with you.  I'm not that kind of person."

Brian - "I know. When you figure it out tell me."

Jess - "You'll be the first to know. Now shut up and let me enjoy this dance."

Brian - "Yes mam."  He pulls her a little closer and she closes her eyes. Thats when she hears Aerosmiths, Don't want to miss a thing.  She didn't want it to end but it had to.  "I should let you go back to Lance now or I won't want to."

Jess - "Okay. Bye."

Brian - "bye."  Jess leaves him and goes finds Lance.  She found him sitting at the bar.

Jess - "hey sailor can I buy you a drink?"

Lance - "Sure. How was your dance?"

Jess - "Fine. What have you been up to?"

Lance - "Watching you and Brian. He means a lot to you doesn't he."

Jess - "Well yeah he's my friend." He turns around to face her.

Lance - "That's not what I mean and you know it. I'm going to save myself some dignity. You don't belong with me. I consider myself lucky that you even wanted to be with me for the time we did have together. You still love him its obvious to anyone who knows you. I know you love me but not like I want you to."

Jess - "Lance..." He stands up and puts his fingers to her mouth.

Lance - "Don't, okay. Just let me kiss you one last time and then I'll leave you alone." He does his kiss is light and he doesn't linger to long. "Go find Brian."

Jess - "Thank you."  She knows that was stupid to say but couldn't think of anything else.  She hugs him and then leaves as he asked her to.

But then she couldn't find Brian.  Jess looked all over and finally saw Howie. He was dancing with one of Ricky Martins dancers.  She weaves her way over to them.

Jess - "Excuse me. Howie where's Brian?"

Howie - "I think he went back to the hotel."

Jess - "Perfect. Thanks."

Howie - "Hey wait. What's going on?"

Jess - "Nothing, everything. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

Howie - "Good luck."

Jess - "Don't need it. I have fate on my side."

Jess ran outside and hailed a cab.  Although the way she feels she could fly to the hotel and right up to his room.  When she finally gets there she ran up the stairs to Lance's room to get her stuff. He doesn't need to come back and find her things there.  Then Jess runs up to Brian's room by then she's pretty up of breath.  She's so nervous she's shaking as she knocks on his door. He doesn't answer at first and she had turn to leave when he opens it.

Brian - "Hi."

Jess - "Hi, is this a good time?"

Brian- "yeah, come on in."  She walks past him and he closes the door. "Are you planning on staying?"

Jess - "No this is my bag from Lance's room. He broke up with me."

Brian - "Are you okay?"

Jess - "Yeah I'm fine. It hurts a little but he knew that I wanted to be with you."

Brian - "So?"

Jess - "So I'm curious where we are right now."

Brian - "We're standing in my hotel room."

Jess - "You know what I mean.  I love you Brian.  I think I've loved you ever since that day on the boat when Nick pulled me in the water and you blew on the back of my leg.  You have occupied every single spare thought I have.  I miss the way you were there for me, chasing me even when I told you to back off. Now I'm the one chasing you.  I'll take anything you can give me."  Jess is close to tears but won't let her emotions over take her until he says something.  He walks over and takes her hand.

Brian - "Is my heart enough for you. Is every breath I have enough for you? I love you with all that I am."  She giggles as a tear rolls down her cheek.

Jess - "Now you sound like one of your songs."

Brian - "really, maybe I should write all of this down."

Jess - "no I think you should kiss me."

Brian - "Oh really."

Jess - "yeah really."  She put her arms around his shoulders

Brian - "okay."  His hands are on her hips.  "I can't believe I'm nervous."

Jess - "Me too. I think its because I'm not going to stop you this time."

Brian - "I love you."

Jess - "I love you."

He kisses Jess softly, slowly opening her mouth with his.  His hands go up her back and in her hair, as he starts to kiss her neck.  She had to hold on to him or she would have collapsed on the floor.  "Make love to me Brian."  He comes back and kisses her again this time its more urgent.  She can't keep herself from moaning against his lips.  He moves them towards the bed.  The back of her knees hit and she sat down breaking the kiss.  Jess untucked his shirt and undid his belt and then lays down pulling him on top of her.  They start kissing heavily and he runs his hand across the top of her breast that is exposed by the dress.  He finds the clasp and unzips it.  She arches her back as he pulls it off and throws it on the floor.  Brian takes his shirt off and lies back on top of her.  She rolls him over and sits on top of him.  She takes off her bra and start kissing his chest as she takes off his pants and boxers.  Gently she starts kissing penis, takeing hte whole thing in to her mouth, savoring the taste.  He doesn't let her finish what she started.  He pulls her up and takes off her panties and starts kissing her there.  Finally she can't stand it anymore so she begs him to finish it.  He stops and comes up to kiss her lips as he enters her.  "Oh God Jessica.  I love you so much."  It felt so right having him inside of her.  Brian was slow and gentle, just like Jess knew he would be.  She reached her climax unexpectedly and pulled him closer which made him go deeper then he want to, he couldn't take it anymore and he quicken his pace as he finished.  They laid there trying to catch their breath.  She gets a chill and shivers.  Brian reached over and pulled the blanket over both of them.

Jess - "I love you."

Brian - "I love you. You're going to be here when I wake up aren't you."

Jess - "yeah."

Brian - "Good, good night."

Jess - "Night."  She snuggles into his arms and falls asleep rather quickly.  He doesn't have as much luck. He didn't want to tell her he fells guilty about what just happened.
