Loren arrived early the next morning. She didn't tell any one she was coming in early. The ride from the airport helped her collect her final thoughts on how to break the news to her parents. She looked at her watch it was almost seven, which meant her mom, was having coffee in the kitchen with the cook. There was a lot of mud from the rain last night so she left her bags on the front stoop and walked around to the kitchen door.

Loren - "Hi mom."

Vanessa - "Oh sweetie when did you get in?

Loren - "Just now." She gets up and hugs her daughter.

Vanessa - "Why didn't you tell anyone you where coming in so early we could have met you."

Loren - "No I wanted to rent a car and drive out." Loren's mom's not stupid, she knows something is wrong. Loren hates driving from the airport. "Can I have some tea Patty." The cook makes her a cup of tea and then excuses herself.

Vanessa - "What's wrong?"

Loren - "I'm pregnant."

Vanessa - "You're pregnant." She sits in silence.

Loren - "And Greg left me. "

Vanessa - "Because of the baby?"

Loren - "Yes. He told me it wasn't his. Then he stopped returning my calls and even sent me a check, to take care of things as he put it."

Vanessa - "That son of a bitch. Don't worry honey everything will be fine."

Loren - "Daddy's going to flip."

Vanessa - "Yes your father is going to be very upset but he'll get over it."

Loren - "I'm sorry to do this on your anniversary but I need to tell you in person."

Vanessa - "I understand sweetheart. Come on let's go find your father." She puts her arm around Loren as the walk to Sean's study. Hesiantely she knocks.

Vanessa - "Sean, look who came early."

Sean - "Loren! I was going to have some one met you."

Loren - "It's okay I wanted to surprise you. Happy Anniversary daddy."

Sean - "Thank you honey. Now what is going on with you?"

She tells him everything. At first he is so angry all he can do is yell and tell her how irresponsible she had been and that she should have known better. The whole time he yelled at her he didn't look at her and she didn't say a word. Finally he turned to her and noticed that she had been crying quietly the whole time. His heart broke and he hugs her to him.

Sean - "I'm sorry. I should have yelled at you. It'll be okay. You're going to be fine."

Loren - "I'm sorry daddy."

Sean - "Don't be. Have you been to a doctor?"

Loren - "Yes. Everything's fine the baby's due in October."

Sean - "Are you hungry? I'm starved."

Loren - "Yeah."

Sean - "Cook should have breakfast ready." They walk in to the dinning room and everyone is getting their breakfast off the buffet. "Good morning everyone. Loren has came early with an announcement. It seems that our family will be growing by one here soon." The only people who knew already were Stephen, Donnie and Jessica. After everyone got over their initial shock they congratulated her.
